If you have trouble keeping your pen and notebook together. These 48-page pocket notebooks from Tintris have the solution! The covers have a built-in pen pocket so you can keep your pen secure in its travels. This set of six journals is great bang for your buck.
Journal Covers
A cover for your EDC can prove to be quite handy. And can offer protection for what you carry. I personally have my pocket EDC journals in covers or cases as I often carry additional items, such as backup pens/pencils, pocket knives, flint & steel, lip balm, money/credit card, or extra journals.
Pocket Traveler’s Leather Journal Cover
This little leather cover will hold up to three journals at a time. This is a refillable option so you can customize as you need. I have had good luck with leather journal covers holding up well to daily abuse. A highly recommended accessory if carrying more than one journal at a time.
Zip Around Journal Case
This zip around case is handy for carrying even more with your EDC journal. This case is water resistant material and features a double zipper for easy access. Carry your pens and wallet essentials all in your EDC journal case. Use for keeping track of receipts or auto expenses and stow in your glove box. This one from Baizoy, is available in three colors.
All-Weather Journals
One of the best additions I have made to my every-day carry is a weather-proof journal. I’ve been using the Rite in the Rain journals for years, but other companies have since come forward with their own version of a water-proof, weather proof notebook. Keep them in a glove box, tool box or boat.
They are most often used in my local sphere for keeping on boats and hunting blinds. You never know when you might need to record important navigational details or what you caught/shot that day!
Rite in the Rain Top Spiral 3-Pack Notebooks
I’ve been using Rite in the Rain for years. It is a solid products that has gone through consistent humidity and being drenched on a daily basis. They have come a long way from their classic yellow notebook, now offering a variety of designs and patterns. They even make weatherproof copy paper!
The top spiral notebook each contain 50-pages. They are available in a variety of colors and designs, and manufactured in America. I believe these notebooks tough enough for a Jack London, worthy adventure.
Prudiut Waterproof Notebook Set
This top spiral bound waterproof notebook set comes with three all-weather notebooks, pen, and a waterproof bag in which to keep it all. Available in green or black this set is not to be ignored.
EDC Pens & Pencils
Choosing a reliable pen or pencil is a great opportunity to further customize your everyday-carry experience.
Zebra G-750 All Metal Pen
I’ve been using the G-750 gel pen for several years and have no complaints. The grip section has delicate knurling for a nice light grip so fingers can hold without irritation. This is a full-size pen and has a full brass body so it has a nice heft. See my review of this pen HERE. This pen is a great value that comes with additional refills.
Rite in the Rain EDC All-Weather Pen
A pocket sized pen that comes in a pack of two. These are handy little all-weather pens that won’t ask too much of your wallet.
Rite in the Rain Weatherproof Mechanical Pencil
This weatherproof mechanical pencil from Rite in the Rain has a knurled grip-section for comfort. It comes in several colors including bright orange for higher visibility. It has a full size body and replaceable erasers.
Zebra M-301 Mechanical Pencil
The Zebra M-301 is a nice little mechanical pencil. I’ve had one for a few years and it has done very well. It has a few plastic components and so can break more easily than a full metal body. This makes it more lightweight, great for if your trying to keep your EDC light and easy to travel.

Whatever your personal style or requirements for an EDC journal setup. Whether its as simple as a journal and pencil in your back pocket or glove compartment or a case fully loaded down for artistic endeavors. There are plenty of options available that won’t break the bank.
