Why Keep a Journal?

Looking for motivation to unplug from social media and the pressure of posting for all to see? Keep a journal or notebook.
Unplug from Social Media, Write Your Thoughts Down
Writing in a journal doesn’t have to be daily gig although I greatly encourage it. Keep it by your nightstand. And instead of doom-scrolling on a phone, WRITE. Write the most uninteresting sentence ever written about the most mundane observation, and download your mind. Who cares if it is dull content? NOT ONE DOGGONE PERSON. One simple observation about the weather or little daily annoyance written down and got out of the head, is one less ounce of pressure on the mind’s gray matter for the night.
Journal Motivation for the Unmotivated
Here are a few authors who found great value in keeping a journal or notebook…

Thoughts written down have been a part of past, present, and future. Ever since man began beating their observations and ideas into stone and painting on cave walls. Recording, observing, remembering, and releasing what we have experienced back into the world whether for your benefit or the world’s, is a part of being human. I myself am partial to Jack London’s, above sentiment. Grab a cheap notebook or handsome journal and get to exploring your mind.
